Kate was born in Maryland, just outside of Washington DC, but she grew up primarily in Lancaster County. Kate went to school in the Penn Manor School District and was involved in soccer, theater, chorus, and volunteering with the Lancaster WIC program. Following high school, Kate was fortunate to attend college at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she earned a BS in Psychology, with a minor in biology. She also spent four months living in Central America, where she developed her Spanish skills. After spending her college years in Virginia, Kate felt confident in her decision to return to Lancaster County and start a family here.

 

Kate currently lives in the Holtwood area with her husband and their two daughters. Kate and her family enjoy staying busy, including renovating their 1800s barn home and caring for dogs, cats, and chickens. In her spare time, Kate’s hobbies include photography and creative design. As the daughter of a Hospice physician, Kate learned the importance of answering the call to serve those in her local community. She is proud to serve as the Board President of Clare House, which is a local non-profit serving mothers and children experiencing homelessness. As you explore the local community, you may find Kate representing Clare House at local events- sometimes even with a camera in hand!

 

Until entering the real estate and marketing worlds, Kate served individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism across Lancaster County. Upon stepping away from her job to stay home with her daughters, Kate found that she enjoyed combining her passion to serve with the joy that she has found in renovating both her own and other homes with her husband and family- and putting her skills to use in the real estate industry has been the ideal way to do that. Kate is thrilled to join Life Changes Realty Group and looks forward to building relationships with and continuing to serve those in her local community.
